  • The article discusses plans for the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant in Japan, following the 2011 meltdown of several of its reactors. According to the author, the fate of Fukushima will depend on a variety of factors, including how deeply the site has been contaminated. An overview of the similarities between Fukushima, Three Mile Island power plant in Pennsylvania, and Chernobyl power plant in Ukraine is presented.
