  • In this article the author discusses why he thinks U.S. physicist Stephen Hawking is wrong about the danger of extraterrestrial intelligences. He notes that searches conducted by the U.S. Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) Institute are bringing human beings closer to an encounter with ETI and discusses why he is skeptical of Hawking's reasoning about why human beings should not attempt to contact aliens.
