  • The article discusses why swear words have populated "Billboard" magazine's popular music chart. According to the author, three of the top ten most popular songs on "Billboard's" popular music chart feature a song title with the same swear word, such as "F**kin' Perfect," by Pink. Topics include the psychological aspects of swear words and an overview of results from a study in "Psychological Science" investigating the effect of crude language on the speed of speech.
