  • Resumen
    • The article discusses intelligent behavior of computers. According to the authors, intelligent behavior of computers continues to improve, but they remain far removed from a consciousness of the world around them. They note that computer scientists and neurobiologists ponder the question of whether it will be possible to tell if a machine is truly conscious and discuss how a simple test, which can be performed at home with this magazine and a pair of scissors, may ascertain whether such a machine has finally arrived. Topics include a discussion of what consciousness is and the integrated information theory of consciousness, which attempts to explain the relationship between conscious information and intuitiveness.
