In this article the author discusses the fear of cyberattacks and why that should not lead the U.S. government to destroy Internet freedom and anonymity. He notes the online conflict caused by the release of classified U.S. government documents by the international, non-profit organization WikiLeaks, the problems that Internet site attacks and infrastructure pose to U.S. security, and discusses the need for better options to secure the Internet other than government intervention.
