In this article the author discusses how to move the U.S. science agenda forward. She argues that many U.S. legislators that won the November 2010 elections have little understanding or respect for science, but that there may be opportunities to begin building a science agenda for the next congressional cycle. Topics include some bipartisan efforts the author feels may be worthwhile, such as reducing energy consumption and creating a clean energy economy.
