  • The article discusses the discovery of evidence for a previously unknown subatomic particle, called the sterile neutrino, that could help explain the mystery of dark matter. Topics include an overview of how physicists were able to detect a particle that scientists thought was undetectable, including the use of the Chandra X-ray telescope to observe a dwarf galaxy and the study of pulsars in supernovae.
