  • The article discusses a report in a 2010 issue of "Physical Review Letters" in which scientists at the University of Insubria in Italy, have re-created a black hole phenomenon known as Hawking radiation, which is a thesis postulated by U.S. physicist Stephen Hawking regarding the emission of radiation from the outer boundaries of black holes. An overview of an experiment testing Hawking's thesis is presented.
