In this article the author discusses scientific misconduct by Harvard University's primate psychologist Marc Hauser. The author gives a brief overview of Hauser's behavior while researching the ability of rhesus monkeys to learn sound behavior, discusses whether or not Hauser's misconduct was deliberate, and the role confirmation bias may have played in Hauser's conduct.
