  • The article discusses heat and hurricanes in New York City (NYC). The author notes hurricanes are recorded in NYC about every 75 years and muses about the likelihood of ever experiencing one in his lifetime. Topics include an overview of computer models that show the rougher the city, which is a measure of its topography, the more likely a hurricane will land there and the psychological aspects of urban heat.
