In this article the authors discuss aspects of U.S. broadband Internet service, its poor performance, and what can be done to improve it. The authors argue that the U.S. broadband system lags behind more technologically-advanced countries, such as South Korea. They suggest the necessity of having good broadband connections, such as the transmission of products and services, and the reclassification of broadband as a telecommunications service by the U.S. Federal Communication Commission (FCC).
