  • Disruption management has become more and more important as real-time information (e.g., blocked roads, vehicle breakdowns, real-time travel time, and accidents) has become available. The authors provide a highly valuable survey on this important new trend in vehicle routing, which is also of high practical relevance. The paper is well organized. In Section 1, the key factors are nicely summarized, and in Subsection 1.1, the appropriate objectives are reviewed. In Section 2, the different solution approaches including multi-objective optimization approaches are explained.
