  Fueron las primeras, las pioneras que colonizaban un territorio desconocido, a ve- ces hostil, instalado en una cultura donde los valores plasmados en la norma suprema del ordenamiento jurídico español no se correspondían con lo cotidiano. La Guardia Civil rompió la lanza de la desigualdad incorporando a la mujer en sus filas. Estas mujeres llegaban cargadas de un idealismo muchas veces criticado o cuestionado por aquellos que se resistían al cambio, y sujetaban la bandera de la fortaleza interna con el acento señalando la persistencia, sin que las críticas, las carencias o los obstáculos las detuvieran teniendo el coraje de empezar algo nuevo. Se introdujeron en un cami- no que nadie había transitado antes sabiendo que lo nuevo genera resistencia al cam- bio. Algunas fueron cuestionadas, aisladas y rechazadas. Otras innovaron aportando otra mirada que ayudó a superar este gran reto. Treinta años desde 1988 y treinta mujeres seleccionadas en esta muestra que resume el esfuerzo de una institución.

  They were the first, the pioneers who colonized an unknown territory, sometimes hostile, installed in a culture where the values embodied in the supreme norm of the Spanish legal system did not correspond to the current reality. The Civil Guard broke the spear of inequality by incorporating women in its ranks. These women came loa- ded with an idealism often criticized or questioned by those who resisted change and held the banner of internal strength with the emphasis on persistence. They did not allow criticism, shortcomings or obstacles to stop them of having the courage to start something new. They entered a path that nobody had walked before knowing that what is new generates a resistance to change. Some were questioned, isolated and rejected. Others innovated by providing a new focus that helped overcome this great challenge. Thirty years have passed since 1988 and thirty women have been selected in this sample that summarizes the effort of an institution.
