Resumen de La igualdad entre mujeres y hombres en la guardia civil

  La igualdad entre mujeres y hombres forma parte de los Derechos Humanos, tal y como las Naciones Unidas han señalado. Para la Guardia Civil, en su afán por mejorar el servicio que presta a la ciudadanía y por incrementar el nivel de eficiencia y bienes- tar de su personal, la creación, en su seno, del Comité para la Igualdad Efectiva entre Mujeres y Hombres supuso un hito, a partir del cual, en 2014, se pusieron en práctica numerosas iniciativas con el objetivo de conseguir que la Igualdad sea real y efectiva en la Guardia Civil.

  A lo largo de este artículo, vamos a tratar de explicar qué significa y para qué sirve la confección del diagnóstico de situación, los logros conseguidos, los retos a los que se enfrenta la Guardia Civil en materia de Igualdad y las cuestiones que no se han de obviar si se quiere llevar a buen término cualquier política de igualdad.

  The equality between men and women is part of Human Rights, as it has been recognized by the UN. For the Guardia Civil, in its eagerness to improve its service towards the citizens and to increase the level of efficiency of its members, the creation of its Effective Equality Between Women and Men Committee represented a milesto- ne, from which, in 2014, numerous initiatives with the objective of achieving true and effective equality goals in the Guardia Civil were put into practice.

  In this article, we are going to explain the meaning and the purpose of elaborating a situation diagnosis related to equality, the goals achieved until now, the challenging situation the Guardia Civil is facing regarding the issue of equality, and the elements that need to be considered if we want to succeed in any equality policy.
