    A partir de documentación municipal del valle de Valderredible, de la villa de Castro Urdiales y de la de Segura, se busca analizar las manifestaciones políticas y discursivas del común urbano. Así, los circuitos de la comunicación política son estudiados en base a su relación conexa con los lugares físicos y públicos en los que se generaba y por los que circulaba. En un contexto histórico marcado por la exclusión política del común de los resortes formales del gobierno urbano, y el fortalecimiento de los grupos señoriales; detectar el punto justo en el que lo rumoreado se convertía en noticia política, contribuye a la comprensión de las lógicas del poder político en la modernidad temprana. El objetivo final consiste en discutir la significativa correlación que existía entre el bien común como ideal a perseguir y el espacio público como construcción social.

    Based on municipal documentation from the Valderredible valley, the village of Castro Urdiales and the village of Segura, the aim of this article is to analyze the political and discursive manifestations of the common. Thus, the circuits of political communication are studied based on their relationship with the physical and public places in which it was generated and by which it circulated. In a historical context marked by the political exclusion of the common from the formal seats of urban government, and the strengthening of the seigniorial groups, to focuse the just point in which the rumored became political news, contributes to the understanding of the logics of political power in early modernity. The final objective is to discuss the significant correlation that existed between the common good, or general will, as an ideal to be pursued and the public space as a social construction.
