    En 1938, durante la última guerra civil española, el arquitecto Luis Berges Martínez, junto con José Cáliz Salvatierra, realizaron un inventario de los bienes muebles de la catedral de Jaén. Este documento es un valioso testimonio del estado del patrimonio del primer templo de la diócesis de Jaén, que había sufrido ya serias mermas, sobre todo en la platería, en los primeros días de la contienda civil. El presente trabajo analiza el llamado "Informe Berges" arrojando luz sobre la situación del patrimonio mueble de la catedral de Jaén en aquellos aciagos días.

    In 1938, during the last Spanish civil war, the architect Luis Berges Martínez, together with José Cáliz Salvatierra, carried out an inventory of the movable assets of the cathedral of Jaén. This document is a valuable testimony of the state of the heritage of the first temple of the diocese of Jaén, which had already suffered serious losses, especially in the silver, in the first days of civil strife. The present work analyzes the so-called "Berges Report" throwing light on the situation of the movable heritage of the cathedral of Jaén in those ill-fated days.
