  • The article discusses obsolescence of oil. According to the author, the dominance of crude oil as the mainstay of the transportation sector may be over as a result of the convergence of several forces including the increasing difficultly in accessing deep oil reserves, the tightening of environmental regulations, and the use of alternative fuels.
