  • The article discusses daylight savings time, which was invented by New Zealand naturalist George Vernon Hudson following the publication of two scientific reports arguing for a seasonal shift in time to better utilize the long days of summer. Topics include a brief overview of the history of the uses of daylight savings time, including as an energy saving measure during World War II.
