  • Resumen
    • The article discusses research and development of miniature robots and their medical applications. In the late 1980s, engineers are said to have crafted robots the size of pills that allowed for passive imaging of internal organs including the intestines. Today's miniaturized robots being fashioned for clinical use in the future are said to be operable via wireless guidance systems. Gastrointestinal screening is thought to offer the first frontier for exploration using such robotic medical devices.
