Resumen de Catastrophic thinking.

  • In this article the authors discuss aspects of the 2010 BP Deepwater Horizon Oil spill and how ruinous oil spills could be avoided by reforming the U.S. energy policy. The authors note the technological advances made by oil industry since a similar accident involving the Ixtoc 1 drilling platform occurred in 1979 and what must be done to avoid such accidents, including making realistic assessments of the risks and better government oversight.
