The authors reflect on efforts which have been made to achieve environmental justice and eliminate health disparities in the U.S. They suggest that the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has been addressing disparities in environmental health in the U.S. since 1994. They argue that support is needed for collaboration between the EPA and and other agencies which can result in initiatives and programs which could lead to environmental justice and the elimination of health disparities.
