  • The author reflects on the future of public health ethics. He suggests that the main ethical concern in public health has always been the conflict between individual and group interests in controlling disease and promoting health. He argues that as long as society needs public health, it will also need public health ethics to ensure that group and individual interests are recognized and protected.
