    L'obiettivo che ci si è proposti nella relazione è di illustrare, sebbene in maniera sintetica, l'influsso che le patologie legate al gioco d'azzardo potrebbero e possono produrre sulle capacità volitive e intellettive dei soggetti attivi del sacramento del matrimonio e, per conseguenza, sul consenso da loro emesso. Il nostro intento è rendere palese la convenienza, sia per gli Istruttori sia per le parti interessate, di orientare l'istruzione del Processo di Dichiarazione di nullità non tanto a partire degli indizi e degli annessi che potrebbero mostrare un disturbo nel controllo degli impulsi, quanto piuttosto di tutto ciò che sostiene in germe o in atto un disturbo di dipendenza.     The purpose of this paper is to illustrate, however briefly, the influence that the pathologies linked to games of chance may exercise upon the intellectual and volitional capacity of the parties to the celebration of the sacrament of marriage, hence upon the matrimonial consent that they express. The suggestion is that, in relevant trials on petitions for declaration of marriage nullity, the inquiry be based, not so much on indications and supporting circumstances pointing to disorders associated with poor impulse control, but rather on the evidence showing there to have been a latent or actualized addiction disorder.
