    Francisco López asume la presidencia de la Sociedad Nuclear Española en un momento especialmente intenso.

    Los cambios en la legislación sobre medidas fiscales y su efecto en la operación de las centrales nucleares españolas, el previsible cierre de Santa María de Garoña o la implantación de las mejoras surgidas a raíz de las pruebas de resistencia son los retos más importantes a los que se enfrenta el sector.

    En este contexto, el nuevo presidente es optimista sobre el futuro de esta fuente energética, y de la propia SNE. Para ello, apuesta por una Sociedad cada día más vital y cercana a sus socios.     Francisco López has taken over as president of the Spanish Nuclear Society at a particularly intense moment.

    The changes in the legislation on tax measures and their impact on the operation of the Spanish nuclear power plants, the foreseeable closure of Santa Maria de Garoña NPP and the implementation of the improvements stemming from the stress tests are the most important challenges being faced by the sector.

    In this context, the new president is optimistic about the future of this energy source and of the SNE itself. To take on these challenges, he aims to have an increasingly vital Society that reaches out to its members.

    Some of the objectives for the term he is beginning are the participation of young people and the dissemination of nuclear science and technology through digital media
