La consideración de los campos de batalla, como patrimonio cultural, tiene un largo recorrido en el mundo anglosajón, donde se configuran como un buen recurso para la didáctica de la historia y del paisaje. Al mismo tiempo, son un atractivo turístico cultural de las regiones donde están localizados. Este artículo traza las líneas generales de la situación de los campos de batalla de los Estados Unidos e Inglaterra y establece una comparación con el caso español, explorando además los recursos digitales disponibles.

The recognition of battlefields as a cultural heritage has a long history in the Anglo-Saxon world, where they constitute an important tool in the teaching and understanding of history and landscape. At the same time, they represent a cultural tourist attraction of the regions in which they are situated. This article outlines the general significance of the battlefields in the United States and Great Britain and compares it with the situation in Spain, including in its exploration the available digital resources.
