Resumen de Veritat, coneixement i política en Tucídides: els escenaris discursius

  En aquest article s’analitza de quina manera els escenaris discursius (formats per la interacció entre els discursos, els escenaris situacionals i els interlocutors) que conté la Història de la guerra del Peloponnès contribueixen a generar la veritat del relat i com, a partir d’aquesta, produeixen coneixement segons la teoria epistemològica de Tucídides. En concret, s’estudien els escenaris discursius a partir de dos paràmetres situacionals: la dicotomia escenari públic/escenari privat, i interlocutors iguals en estatuts/interlocutors desiguals en estatus. Aquests paràmetres configuren tant el gènere discursiu (discurs vs. diàleg) com la càrrega de veritat que aporten.

  Així mateix es pot extraure una lectura en clau política, ja que en ser algun d’aquests escenaris expressió d’un tipus de règim polític, en la mesura que aporte veritat i, per tant, coneixement, determinarà si el règim polític del qual és manifestació és idoni per al regiment d’una comunitat.

  This article analyses how the discursive scenarios (formed by the interaction between discourses, situational scenarios and the interlocutors) contained in the History of the Peloponnesian War contribute to revealing the truth of the story and how, based on this truth, knowledge is produced, in accordace with the epistemological theory of Thucydides. More specifically, the discursive scenarios are studied based on two situational parameters: the dichotomy between the public and private scenario, and the question of equal status interlocutors versus unequal status interlocutors. These parameters define both the discursive genre (speech versus dialogue) and the amount of truth that the discourse provides. A political reading is also possible, because when one of these scenarios is an expression of a certain type of political regime, the extent to which it contributes truth and, therefore, knowledge, will determine if the political regime reflected by this scenario is a suitable way to govern a community
