  • The article discusses the behavior of earthworms to ground vibrations. Ground vibrations induce some earthworms to come to the surface. According to a theory by naturalist Charles Darwin, the earthworms interpret the vibrations as a sign that moles are hunting them. An overview of some key concepts in the article including experiments testing the worm-mole connection and how predation impacts earthworm behavior is presented. INSETS: Untitled;Untitled.
