  • The article discusses a study titled "Lacking Control Increases Illusory Pattern Perception," by Jennifer Whitson and Adam Galinsky. The researchers found that a psychological sense of control was inversely correlated with a tendency to see imaginary patterns in random stimuli. The implications of this finding, and related studies, are discussed.
