Resumen de Traducir el nivel narrativo:: la indirekte Rede en Die Blendung, de Elias Canetti

  Es bien sabido que la traducción literaria requiere un estudio y unas estrategias de traducción específicas. En este sentido, uno de los rasgos distintivos más pertinentes lo constituye el nivel narrativo, compuesto por las estrategias que el autor pone en marcha para transformar una historia en una obra literaria. Teniendo en cuenta los últimos avances en narratología trataremos el problema del estilo indirecto desentrañando las dificultades que presenta su traducción en el par de lenguas alemán- español.

  Para ello, analizamos tanto su dimensión gramatical como formal, haciendo hincapié en las importantes implicaciones semánticas a nivel narrativo que derivan de ellas en ambas lenguas. Finalmente, nos centraremos en algunos fragmentos de la novela Die Blen dung , de Elias Canetti y su traducción al español, poniendo de relieve dónde ha fracasado la estrategia traducto

  It is well known that literary translation requires specific study and translation strategies.

  In this sense, one of the most relevant characteristics to bear in mind shall be the narrative level. This consists of the strategies which the author sets out to transform a story into a literary work. Taking into acc ount the recent developments in narratology, we deal with the problem of indirect speech unraveling the difficulties found when translating in the pair German- Spanish languages. With this purpose, we analyze not only their formal but also their grammatical dimensions, emphasizing the important semantic implications which flow at the narrative level from these grammatical dimensions in both languages. Finally, we focus on some fragments of the novel Die Blendung by Elias Canetti and its translation into Spanish, highlighting where the translation strategy has failed
