Resumen de Factores clínicos relacionados con la elevación de la tensión en el síndrome pseudoexfoliativo

  Estudio prospectivo de 302 ojos con sindrome pseudoexfoliativo (173 personas). Valoramos 32 signos clinicos en cada enfermo y en diversos grados relacionándolos con la tensión ocular (TO). Los resultados muestran que los más íntimamente unidos (p<0,0001) son la pigmentación difusa, la línea de Sampaolesi, la atrofia pigmentaria pupilar y el depósito de material pseudoexfoliativo en pupila, aunque sólo los tres primeros están directamente relacionados como causa con la TO como efecto. Dentro del grupo glaucomatoso, la linea de Sampaolesi es el factor que más influye en la TO. Se valoran, a partir de estos signos, las distintas hipótesis sobre la etiopatogenia de este glaucoma.

  Prospective study of 302 eyes with pseudoexfoliative syndrome (173 persons). We value 32 clinical signs in each patient and several degrees relating them with the ocular tension (OT). The results show that the most intimately united are the diffuse pigmentation, the Sampaolesi line, the papillar pigmentary atrophy, and the deposit of pseudoexfoliative material in pupil, although only the first three are directly related as a cause with the OT as the effect. In the glaucomatous group, the Sampaolesi line, is the factor that most influences in the OT. We value from these signs, the different hypotheses about the etiopathogeny of this glaucoma.
