Tratamiento de la neovascularización subretiniana con laser

  • In this proyect we study the therapeutical utility of the Dye Laser in the treatment of the subretinal neovascularizations (SRNV) on the macular area. The original illness that created the neovascularization was of different a etiology: 8 eyes were myopic, another seven suffered senile macular degeneration, two of them a supposed ocular histoplasmosis and four of them were idiopathic. The localization of the SRNV was extrafoveal in 19 eyes and yuxtafoveal in 2 of them. Affending to the results obtained we think that the photocoagulation with Laser is the chosen treatment of the subretinal neovascularization in the macular area.
