We report a patient with septo-optic dysplasia. She was diagnosticated after the finding of optic nerve hypoplasia and delayed motor development. She showed hypothalamic dysfunction with almost absent levels of growth hormone. Magnetic resonance imaging revealed partial agenesis of the septum pellucidum and failure to visualize the pituitary stalk, confirming the diagnosis. The ophthalmologist can be decisive in the early diagnosis of De Morsier syndrome after visualizing an optic nerve hypoplasia.
