    • Parks Victoria is a statutory authority responsible for managing National and State Parks in the State of Victoria. Overall, Parks Victoria is responsible for the management of approximately 4 million hectares of public land, about 20% of the total area of the State. v. 38, n. 2, mai./ago. 2013 Notas e Resenhas 409 Parks Victoria also manages a vast portfolio of built assets, including 47 visitor centres, 852 visitor toilets, 515 lookouts, 246 piers and jetties and over 14,000km of roads to name just a few. It is estimated that Parks Victoria received 86 million visitors in the 2010-2011 financial year representing 54% of visitors to all parks and 46% of visitors to piers).
