Nel commento a Aen. 7,118, Servio indica i sette oggetti sacri (pignora), che proteggevano l’imperium Romanum. Dopo l’edizione di Thilo (1883-1884) e quella di Ramires (2003), l’autore propone un ulteriore intervento sul testo, in particolare nel passo in cui si indicano tra i pignora lo sceptrum Priami e il velum Ilionae. Le fonti letterarie e mitografiche - nonche una congettura di K. Latte - suggeriscono di correggere il testo in questo modo: sceptrum Priami vel Ilionae, ‹velum Hesionae›.
In the commentary to Aen. 7,118, Servius indicates the seven sacred objects (pignora), which protected the Romanum imperium. After the edition of Thilo (1883-1884) and that of Ramires (2003), the author proposes further intervention on the text, in particular in the passage in which the sceptrum Priami and the velum Ilionae are indicated among the sacred objects. Literary and mythological sources - as well as a conjecture by K. Latte - suggest correcting the text in this way: sceptrum Priami vel Ilionae, ‹velum Hesionae›.
