    The article deals with the patrimonial aspects of an ancient Roman status, the Latini Iuniani, liberti who were freed through informal manumissions. The author focuses on the issues of law of succession. The lex Iunia and the senatusconsultum Largianum are points deepened in the paper, that analyzes the peculiar discipline of this kind of liberti until the age of Justinian (and subsequent representations), critically discussing the recent historiography on the subject.

    L’articolo affronta gli aspetti patrimoniali di un particolare status giuridico del diritto romano antico, quello dei Latini Iuniani, schiavi liberati attraverso manomissioni informali. L’autrice si sofferma in particolare su problemi di diritto ereditario. La lex Iunia e il senatusconsultum Largianum sono i temi approfonditi nel discorso che affronta la speciale disciplina di questa tipologia di liberti fino ai tempi di Giustiniano (e nelle successive rappresentazioni), discutendo criticamente la recente storiografia sull’argomento.
