    El relanzamiento de un programa de generación eléctrica con energía de origen nuclear en cualquier país, incluso en aquellos que ya disponen de un sistema regulatorio adecuado, pionero en Europa y en el mundo, y con varias centrales en funcionamiento desde hace años, como es el caso del Reino Unido (RU), siempre lleva consigo una serie de reformas de gran calado institucional y nacional, y que sirven a la vez para elevar los niveles de seguridad nuclear al máximo nivel, para reducir el riesgo de los inversores en dicho programa y para asegurar que tanto los organismos reguladores como los propios gobiernos cumplan con su función fundamental: servir y proteger al ciudadano y trabajar siempre para mejorar el bienestar de su país.

    Relaunching a nuclear-based electric power generating system in any country, even in one like the United Kingdom (UK) that already has an adequate regulatory system that is pioneering in Europe and the world and has had several plants in operation for many years, always involves a series of far-reaching reforms of an institutional and national nature which, at the same time, serve to raise the standards of nuclear safety to the highest level, in order to reduce the risk run by the investors in the program and to ensure that both regulatory bodies and governments fulfill their fundamental function: serve and protect the citizen and always strive to improve the country’s well-being.
