  • The analysis indicates that while legislative salary exerts a significant effect motivating individuals to continue their grueling task of public service, despite the disparity in legislative pay which exists across the American states, substantively the impact of pay is rather small regardless if a member is serving in the most poorly or generously paid legislature.
