    El artículo analiza el Biombo de La Conquista de México de la colección del Duque de Almodóvar del Valle; en concreto, aborda su proceso de realización en México y el posterior traslado a España, la relación con otros biombos del mismo tema, así como el sentido del mensaje político que tenían estas obras como expresión del criollismo. Se destaca también la influencia asiática en estos muebles, evidenciando la existencia de una primera globalización e interacción entre tres continentes, lo que confiere a este tipo de obras novohispanas del periodo virreinal un carácter muy singular.

    This article analyzes the Biombo with the Conquest of Mexico, from the collection of the Duke of Almodóvar del Valle; specifically, it treats the process of its realization in Mexico and subsequent transfer to Spain, its relationship with other screens portraying the same subject and the political meaning of these works as expressions of criollismo. It also highlights Asian influences on these objects, evidence of the interaction of three continents in the first phase of globalization, which gives this type of artistic work from the viceregal period a very unique character.
