  • The article discusses how scientists are preventing communication blackouts that occur during the reentry of spacecraft into Earth's atmosphere, such as Apollo 13. Topics include an overview of communication blackouts which happen because of the ionization of air, how the U.S. Air Force is attempting to prevent it from affecting their aircraft and weapons systems, such as the construction of vehicles that can top a speed of Mach 10, and the practicality of a Mach 10 vehicle.
