The article discusses the defining feature of a black hole known as an event horizon which is a spherical boundary within a region in which nothing can overcome the black hole's gravity and emerge. Gas accretes in a disk orbiting the black hole and varies in shape and size. A brief overview of what happens to objects along the span of a disc as it moves nearer the center is presented.
