    • The article examines the use of robots that can navigate changing environments, such as offices, and work with hands. Robots have been used in the military, medicine, and households in which they perform specifically-designed tasks. Topics include a brief overview of the design and construction of a multipurpose robot, the PR2 (Personal Robot 2), by the U.S. start-up company Willow Garage, and the challenges of producing all-purpose robots.
