  • The article discusses Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) which uses buses engineered to operate like a subway on wheels. According to the author, for the first time in human civilization more people live in the urban areas rather than rural areas and the need for a reduction in pollution and traffic volume is essential. Topics include an overview of BRT including its use in Bogotá, Colombia, the volume of passengers BRT can handle, and associated pollution.
