  • The article discusses how empowering women through education can help reduce overpopulation and prevent extremism in their children. The author argues that high fertility rates in areas of the world that can least cope with the environmental pressure of overpopulation, such as sanitation and available freshwater, are more likely to pollute their environment trying to produce the resources needed. Topics include the social impacts of paternalistic societies and the need for women's education.
