  • The article discusses the discovery of marine fossils called ammonites which were found in New Jersey river sediments, and are about 65 million-years old. Topics include how the discovery of the fossils is forcing scientists to rethink why some creatures survived the K-T extinction event and some did not, an overview of the type of fossils found which include the marine animals squid and octopi, and what the position of the fossils tell about their extinction.
