  • The article discusses the preservation of information for future generations and its concern to digital archivists. Topics include a report published in the June 10 issue of “Nano Letters,” which describes a device that can hold trillions of bits of information and remain stable for about 1 billion years. Brief details regarding the construction of the device which is based on an iron nanoparticle traveling within a carbon nanotube is presented.
