  • Australian Securities Exchange-listed mineral sands producer Iluka Resources has reported increased zircon and rutile output in the third quarter of 2018, with the latter falling short of expectations.

    Iluka’s third-quarter zircon production increased to 96,500 tonnes, up from 77,300 tonnes in the previous quarter, and up from 49,400 tonnes in the third quarter of 2017. The increase in zircon production reflected the rise in demand for the mineral seen throughout 2018.
