  • The article focuses on the life and works of artist Katherine Dreier, who became popular as a patron and promoter of early modernism. She was born into a prominent family in Brooklyn, New York and at age 21 became treasurer of the German Home for Recreation of Women and Children, which catered to young and or unwed mothers.
