Resumen de Retórica gráfica.: El dibujo del arquitecto como herramienta de comunicación crítica

  Entre las décadas de los sesenta y ochenta del pasado siglo XX, coincidiendo con el paulatino abandono del Estilo Internacional y la adopción de las ideas de la postmodernidad en arquitectura, el dibujo de los arquitectos experimentó un periodo de explosión creativa sin precedentes. Un dibujo que, con toda su carga expresiva, fue puesto al servicio no solo de la representación de la arquitectura, sino también de la crítica. La expresividad y calidad de esos dibujos contrastaban a menudo con la uniformidad de muchas de las construcciones herederas del estilo Internacional. Con la perspectiva del tiempo, el análisis y la revisión de alguna de estas propuestas servirá al conjunto de los arquitectos, no solo para construir un mapa del dibujo de crítica arquitectónica de este periodo, también sirve para asentar las bases de las nuevas estrategias de comunicación en la arquitectura que están aún por llegar.

  Between the sixties and eighties of the last century, concurring with the gradual abandonment of the International Style and the adoption of the ideas of postmodernism in architecture, the architects’ drawing experienced a period of unprecedented creative explosion. All the expressive power of the drawing, was supporting not only the representation of the architecture, but also the critic. The expressiveness and quality of these drawings often contrasted with the uniformity of many of the constructions heirs of the International style.

  With the perspective of time, the analysis and the revision of some of these proposals will serve the architectural community, not only to build a map of the architectural critic drawing of this period, but also to lay the foundations of the new strategies of communication in architecture that are yet to come.
