    El artículo es resultado de la investigación, “Arquitectura contemporánea en Medellín”, desarrollada a partir de 2013 en el ámbito de las pesquisas de la Escuela de Arquitectura de la Universidad Nacional de Colombia, en Medellín, relata la experiencia investigativa y pedagógica del proyecto y de la construcción de pequeños espacios arquitectónicos por parte de los estudiantes del primer año de la Facultad de Arquitectura. A partir de la ideación y de la realización de pequeños lugares públicos, los alumnos empiezan a reflexionar sobre la relación entre arte y tectónica, entre ética y estética, a entender la importancia de utilizar materiales económicos o de segunda mano, y sobre la relación contundente entre espacio y usuarios. Van enfocando de esta forma la importancia del rol social y ecológico de nuestra profesión.

    This article, is a result of the investigation “Contemporary architecture in Medellín”, recounts the research and pedagogical experience of the project and the construction of small architectural spaces by the students of the first year of the Faculty of Architecture. Student reflects on the relationship between art and tectonics, between ethics and aesthetics, on the social and ecological role of our profession. The construction exercise on a real scale generates a series of considerations that are blurred in the traditional context of the design development of a project workshop: considerations on the material reuse, the relationship with the light and the adjacent landscape; to the ergonomic and climatic comfort and to the structural resistance.
