    It is intended in this article discuss ways the punk movement of Sao Paulo represented life in the suburbs. Thus, the text uses as fanzines source punks that were produced in the 1980s and 1990s: “Vítimas do Sistema” (1991), “O Despertar Libertário” (1990), “Os Explorados” (1984), “Nervoso Exposto” (1991), “Chantagem Ocasional” (1991), “Sp. Punk” (1982). The text problematizes the fanzines by way of the alternative press, philosophy of the art and the analysis of images. As a result, the work was able to investigate the ways punks represented the problems of the periphery: misery, violence and the unhealthy environment.

    Pretende-se, neste artigo, discutir as formas que o movimento punk de São Paulo representou a vida na periferia. Para tanto, o texto usa como fonte fanzines punks que foram produzidos na cidade nos anos de 1980 e 1990: “Vítimas do Sistema” (1991), “O Despertar Libertário” (1990), “Os explorados” (1984), “Nervoso Exposto” (1991), “Chantagem Ocasional” (1991), “Sp. Punk” (1982). O texto problematiza os fanzines pela via da imprensa alternativa, da filosofia da arte e da análise de imagens. Como resultado, o trabalho conseguiu investigar as formas que os punks representaram os problemas da periferia: miséria, violência e o ambiente insalubre.
